This letter is to thank you for your extremely generous donation of ice cream and fixings for sundaes, for our homeless shelter on Christmas Eve. I cannot tell you how touched I was when Mary told me that you had offered to donate to our shelter. While I was not able to be there at serving time, I did call in and I have to tell you that the staff were delighted and said they felt like it was 5th grade Christmas party – and the ice cream was the big hit. I don’t think in all the years that the shelte has been running that they have had ice cream sundaes served on Christmas Eve. Thank you so much.

This is a 40 bed shelter, and we do not turn anyone away, therefore we have been overflowing with close to 60 people a night. They are literally sleeping in the hallways and on the floors. We are a wet shelter and pretty much serve them all. They are old, young, sick tired, lost and forgotten. And Christmas is the worst.
But with the kindness and generosity of people such as yourself, we managed to pull off what turned out be a very happy, merry Christmas Eve for the entire shelter. I truly cannot thank you enough for being so kind to think of others less fortunate.
Your donation truly made a difference in the lives of many people that night – on behalf of all of the staff and homeless guests, we thank you so much for your thoughtfulness and caring.
Very Truly Yours

Thank you for once again providing the ice cream for our senior housing visits in Lynn this campaign season.
Our ice cream socials would not be the same without Treadwell’s sundaes and without your presence to help the entire operation go smoothly. I think they come out more for Treadwell’s ice cream sundaes than they do to hear me speak!

Thank you so very much for your acts of kindness shown to cancer patients at North Shore Cancer Center. As an accountant who worked for 22 years with no known health issues, I found out I had advanced Merkel Cell Carcinoma late in 2008. Talk about a shock!

Through surgery, and concurrent radiation and chemo treatments, my doctors are very hopeful I have been cured, which was not at all anticipated back in October. I thank the Lord.
Your bringing to patients, at the most difficult time during their life, the wonderful chocolate and strawberry sundaes is incredibly thoughtful. You don’t know how much it affects the patient at such a time.

People were still talking about it today and commenting on how smooth it really went. I greatly appreciated you staying to scoop and setting the tone. I learned a lot, and the volunteers and I had a lot of fun working with you. You are extremely professional and your experience speaks for itself.

On two occasions this year you have donated ice cream sundaes, at your won cost, to the students of Beverly High School. These acts of kindness have established you as a role model for local businesses working with our school and made you extremely popular among our student body. Your charitable contribution has created a positive impact on the social awareness of our student body while allowing the administration at Beverly High School to reward the student accomplishments in an effective manner.
Your willingness to establish a cooperative and giving partnership with Beverly High School is a tremendous reflection on you as a local business owner, a community representative, and an advocate of education.
Thank You,
Dr. Carla Scuzzarella
